Tuesday Grow Groups

Getting in a Grow Group is a great way to study God's word and grow in our faith together with others. God wants us to spend time together, find a belonging place, get in his word and grow spiritually. If you want to know more about our Grow Groups or to find the best group for you, please email Grow Group Coordinator, Julie Angle at jkangle@windstream.net.

Tues. 5:00-5:45 p.m.

Meets in the Ministry Center Rm. 126

Facilitated by Valerie Throgmorton

We are a group of moms, dads and children who are using the One Year Children's Bible to find out about this God who loves us and wants to be in relationship with us! Parents do their best to read one (short) story with the children at home each day. In our time together, we explore the most important parts of each of the past weeks' stories through games and activities. And whenever the stories had ANYTHING food-related, we always find a way to bring that into our time together too! (Pictured on the left is our Joseph Feast, where we sampled the gifts Jacob's sons brought to present to the governor of Egypt during the famine). New families are welcome to join at any time. Tues. 7:00-8:00 p.m.

Meets in the Ministry Center Second Floor Room 229

Facilitated by Vince and Cheryl Cordova

We are a group of Christians, both couples and singles, who enjoy spending time together, learning about the Word of God, supporting each other and providing service to our community. Our studies usually require very little, if any, homework. We have a social night between each study series. We also strive to serve together in at least one community service activity each quarter.

Tues 7:00-8:00PM

Meets in the Ministry Center Connection Point

Facilitated by Gina & Mike Johnson

We are a group of mostly over 40 singles and couples that meet weekly at PUMC on Tuesday nights to discuss the previous Sunday's sermon. We read the scriptures, review the main points  and discuss observations and personal application. We have lively, grace-filled conversation. We do not have any work to do at home ahead of time. Even if you miss the previous Sunday's sermon you will still get something out of the discussion. We meet pretty much year round.

Tues. 7:30-8:30 p.m.

Meet at a participant’s home in New Territory

Facilitated by Bart Hatfield

We are a group of couples (but we welcome singles), most of us have adult children (but some have teenagers). We study Christian books and Bible studies, and we seem to like those that have a video that accompanies the study. We are flexible and occasionally will shift the day of the week on which we meet to accommodate the needs of members; but only if everyone agrees to the change. Although many of our studies include daily assignments, most of us struggle to get those done. We keep trying, though, and we count on God’s grace to forgive our shortcomings. Typically, when we complete a study, we will go to a local restaurant or one of the member’s homes for dinner to fellowship and choose our next book.
